【摘要】:Thispracticedefinesaprocedurethatensuresconsistentpreparationofspecimensforproducttestingandevaluation.Thispracticecanbeusedinthelaboratoriesofproducers,users,andgeneral-interestpartiesforresearchanddevelopmentorquality-controlwork.Itisparticularlyusefulforinterlaboratorycomparisonsofproducts,forrepetitiveevaluationsorcomparisonsofproductsorproductquality,andinspecifyingauniformpreparationpracticeforspecimensforacceptancetesting.Inusingthispracticeitmustberecognizedthatthestructureoflaboratory-pressedspecimensmaydiffersignificantlyfromthestructureofmaterialrammedinfieldapplications.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforpreparingtestspecimensfrombasicrefractoryrammingproductsbypressingpreparedmaterialinamold.SpecimenspreparedinaccordancewiththisprocedureareintendedforuseinASTMtestmethods.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
