【摘要】:Thispracticemaybeusedtocollectdustfromcarpetedorbarefloorsurfacesforgravimetricorchemicalanalysis.Thecollectedsampleissubstantiallyunmodifiedbythesamplingprocedure.Thispracticeprovidesforareproducibledustremovalratefromlevelloopandplushcarpets,aswellasbarefloors.Ithastheabilitytoachieverelativelyconstantremovalefficiencyatdifferentloadingsofsurfacedust.Thispracticealsoprovidesfortheefficientcaptureofsemivolatileorganicchemicalsassociatedwiththedust.Thetestsystemcanbefittedwithspecialcanistersdownstreamofthecycloneforthecaptureofspecificsemivolatileorganicchemicalsthatmayvolatilizefromthedustparticlesduringcollection.Thispracticedoesnotdescribeproceduresforevaluationofthesafetyoffloorsurfacesorthepotentialhumanexposuretocarpetdust.Itistheuserrsquo;responsibilitytoevaluatethedatacollectedbythispracticeandmakesuchdeterminationsinthelightofotheravailableinformation.FIG.1FloorDustSamplerUsingaCommercialVacuumCleanerastheSuctionSource1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforthecollectionofasampleofdustfromcarpetsandbarefloorsthatcanbeanalyzedforlead,pesticides,orotherchemicalcompoundsandelements.1.2Thispracticeisapplicabletoavarietyofcarpetedandbarefloorsurfaces.Ithasbeentestedforlevelloopandplushpilecarpetsandbarewoodfloors,specifically.1.3Thispracticeisnotintendedforthecollectionandevaluationofdustforthepresenceofasbestosfibers.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
